DR PETER SLOT

Peter joined the practice in 1997 as a partner.  He relocated with his family from Melbourne to work in a rural general practice. Peter’s special interests are travel medicine, dermatology and skin cancers.

DR GARY O’BRIEN

Gary moved to Benalla in 2000 with his young family, having been a GP in Stawell for the previous thirteen years. Gary is a partner and enjoys the broad experience of being a procedural GP – providing anaesthetics  services. His special interests are pain management and family medicine ………… and golf / cycling!

DR JOHN LAMBERT

John moved to Benalla in 2010 from New South Wales in order to further his general practice and obstetrics training and decided to stay. He and his young family have settled on a farm in the area. John is the executive partner in the practice and enjoys the variety of rural general practice. He has a special interest in men’s health and First Nations healthcare.

DR FLEUR CHRISTOPHERSEN

Fleur joined Church Street Surgery in 2008 having completed 2 years at North East Health Wangaratta in anaesthetics and paediatrics.  Prior to that Fleur completed medicine at Monash University and moved to the Benalla region to be closer to her husband’s family. Fleur became a partner in the practice in 2021 and has a special interest in anaesthetics and family medicine.

DR NATHAN FAHN

Nathan moved to Australia in 2005 from Taiwan where he worked as a thoracic surgery consultant. He worked at Northeast Health Wangaratta for 3 years and came to Church Street Surgery in 2011. In 2012, Nathan undertook further advanced skills training in anaesthetics. Nathan became a partner in the practice in 2015. Nathan has special interests in men’s health and minor surgical procedures.

DR RYAN WADDELL

Ryan grew up in Benalla and worked at Benalla Church Street Surgery as an intern in 2018.  Ryan returned to Benalla Church Street Surgery as a GP registrar in Feb 2021 after completing his obstetric training at Northeast Health Wangaratta. Ryan’s special interest is obstetrics and he performs all antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal care, and caesareans.

DR OLIVIA BEE LARNER (she/her)

Bee is a GP registrar who has joined the team at Church Street Surgery for 2025. Bee is no stranger to the North East, spending her formative schooling years in and around Wodonga.
Bee is passionate about creating a safe and inclusive space for all kinds of people to access healthcare, and is committed to providing safe, informed, and holistic care. As a GP registrar, all health concerns are well within her scope of interest, particularly sexual health and LGBTQIA+ healthcare.
Apart from at work, you might find Bee at the gym, or more than likely grabbing her daily coffee. Feel free to say hi!

DR ANDREW SONG

Andrew is a final year RACGP registrar who has been with Church Street Surgery more than a year. He completed medical training in Brisbane before moving down to Benalla, Victoria and has been enjoying his time here since. He cares deeply for his patients and provides holistic care. He specialises in skin cancer surgery and sexual health with current training with the Skin Cancer College Australia and the Australasia Society for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, and Sexual Health Medicine (ASHM) S100 prescriber course. Other interests include chronic disease management, palliative care, geriatrics and LGBTQI+ health. In his spare time, he enjoys going to gym, running and tennis but is also a nerd at heart with fondness for science fiction and pop culture. He is also fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese and can conduct consults in both languages.

DR TADHG FITZPATRICK

Tadhg is an RACGP registrar who has returned to Church Street to complete his registrar training after being an intern with us in 2023.
